Bella & I headed to Portland Head Light, and it was raining. A car pulled in next to us, as I was ready to get Bella out of the car. The place was virtually empty, and I got a little frustrated that the car had to pull right in next to me, out of all the other parking spots there! I had to get Bella out on that particular side due to how my car was packed up). They had a doggie, and were from Pennsylvania, so we ended up striking up a conversation. Bella & their dog played a bit, too. Turns out they were from Bethlehem, PA, and the gentleman was a chaplain at Lehigh Valley Hospital!
Not far from where I live, and where I went to college!
It reminded me that there are no coincidences, and that he was placed right next to me for a reason, and it taught me yet another lesson, too!
Before we parted, with all of us under their umbrellas, we prayed, per his request). I remember the man mentioning about us being a beacon of light, like the lighthouse, or something to that affect, as he prayed.
We got in the car and I saw the sun trying to come out from behind the clouds, so Bella & I waited, and I was asking God for a rainbow.
About 20 mins later... one appeared. I was so excited! "No way!" I jumped out of the car and got pretty wet running over to this area from my car, to get the rainbow positioned over the lighthouse. I didn't care one bit. It was amazing just being there to witness this. It didn’t last long at all before the sun got tucked behind the clouds again.
I tried to get out the water spots in this photo (some raindrops got on my lens). Not sure I did a very good job, but did the best I could. I'm not too efficient with things like that, to that extent. I wasn't prepared to prevent them, either, and honestly kicked myself for not paying much attention to it, but oh well. I was a bit excited! I guess nothing is perfect, no one is perfect, and it's all good!
